We’ve been having fun making some YouTube shorts from our fabulous podcast guests. So, we’re republishing some of our best clips.
Have you thought of the quality of your very best friendships? Here’s a short clip of Dr. Stein explaining the origin of one of his favorite phases, “Buddies don’t count.”
For the full episode see Episode 78: The Blessings and Responsibilities of Friendship with Dr. Gerald Stein
And when life gets chaotic, sometimes all we need to do is find the next right thing to do. Here’s a short clip of Vicki and I talking about how meditation helps me with that:

Thank you, ladies. The clip made me think of John and reminded me to call him. A pleasant thought by itself.

I like the idea of the next step.

Thanks, VJ! As much as I’d like to see the whole plan, all I usually get is the next step. Not that I’m willing to sit there long enough to see how it all connects anyway… 😉

both of these clips were great examples of taking life as it comes. buddies don’t count, makes perfect sense and is so true, it all works out over time, and that’s great as it is. thinking of the next step helps to get through things that we may be dreading of not knowing what to do, causing us worry about what we are unsure of. as long as we’re headed in the direction of solving the issue, we are headed the right way. I like to think of it as ‘baby steps’, not overwhelming but headed toward where I need to go, and it’s all revealed over time.
