What’s more enchanting than listening to a talented youngster as she shares not only her beautiful voice – pure and poignant – while also teaching the adults a thing or two about what matters most?
Absolutely nothing, of course.
Wynne’s amazing daughter, Miss O joins us in this episode to sing and remember the glorious opportunity she had recently to sing before her beloved, and long-departed grandfather (Bumpa’s) congregation. Yes – Dick Leon’s congregation. Wynne’s brilliant father was the subject of her heartfelt memoir, Finding My Father’s Faith. The story of his remarkable capacity for giving. In life and ever after.
The evidence? Miss O.
Join us, won’t you? To learn lessons from Miss O…about life and how it’s like a catapult. Listen as she describes how confidence is stoked when trepidation is turned on its head, revealing excitement and positivity.
Spending time with Miss O reminds me that my faith in the future is not misplaced. She is Wynne’s daughter…Dick Leon’s granddaughter… a joyful young soul who will bring people together throughout her life. In song, I’m sure, and in many other ways. I look forward to seeing Miss O’s story unfold, as she raises up her voice.

I loved this conversation with Miss O. What a thoughtful, confident and poised young woman. Love how she channels feedback into something productive. That is an important lesson and tool and to have figured it out at such a young age is a gift.

Gosh, that was so much fun. Miss O reminds me why I loved teaching children. She’s full of so much joy and goodness. If kids like her don’t provide inspiration for the future, then people aren’t paying attention.
While I’m so impressed with Miss O’s singing, what really stands out is her poise and confidence. I worked with a lot of children over the years, and she has an amazing vocabulary for someone her age. You’ve got a future leader on your hands, Wynne. One of my favorite moments from the interview was when she said that she looked into the audience and saw her mom crying.
