It has been an absolutely joy (and learning experience) to launch a podcast this year. Since Vicki and I are not producing any new episodes until 2024, here are a few favorites from this year:

Episode 34: How to: Writing Family Narratives with Brian Hannon: Brian helps guide us through the tricky business of writing about complicated characters and situations.

Episode 29: Accidental Philanthropists with Dr. Gerald Stein: Dr. Stein shares a heart-warming story of how a promise made when he was 16 years old became a group making a difference.

Episode 22: Themes in Surviving Sue with Vicki Atkinson: Vicki shares the incredibly deep, touching and applicable topics of how she navigated growing up with a complicated mother and writing to create intergenerational healing.

Episode 19: Long Distance Letters with Vicki and Wynne: Vicki and I cry through our conversation about the letters we never got to send to our dear fathers.

Episode 8: Expressive Writing: Thinking, processing, and healing through writing – Vicki and I cover it all.

Episode 5: Father, Sons, and Flannel with Brian Hannon: Vicki and Brian have an incredible conversation about Brian’s memories about his dad through the ages, all wrapped in flannel.

  4. Thanks for posting #29 again, Wynne. That story never grows old, although I can’t say the same of the 10 of us who made a promise we fulfilled 37 years later!
