Two Again Tuesday

We’ve been having fun making YouTube clips from our fabulous podcast guests. So, we’re republishing some of our most watched videos.

Here’s a hilarious snippet from publisher, author and former radio producer, Rick Kaempfer. He tells a couple great stories about how they scored celebrity interviews with Aerosmith and Dennis Hopper at famous Chicago radio station, WLUP.

For more, see Episode 62: The Loop Files with Rick Kaempfer and check out Rick’s book The Loop Files

This week’s second snippet is a counter point to radio station hijinks. Vicki and I talk about building trust in a collaborative relationship.

  1. I enjoy listening to your podcasts, usually on the elliptical at the gym on the weekends. You two have developed a wonderful template and banter and the conversations are always engaging!

  2. Okay, you’re interview with Rick got me thinking. He talks about interviewing Aerosmith and Dennis Hopper. Who would be your dream storyteller to interview on the podcast? You guys are the best, you make any interview sound better, but if the world was wide open, who would you love to have on the podcast? Ha, ha.

  3. I had not seen either of these two snippets before, and they’re delightfully different. Of course, I got a laugh out of the Aerosmith and Dennis Hopper stories told by Rick. One only has to listen to his voice for a few seconds to know that he belongs on the radio with his natural DJ sound.

Your talk together about collaboration made me think of my teaching days. Most of the time an educator quite naturally works alone, but the time we really get our juice, a reminder of why we got into the teaching business, was when I collaborated with another educator. I’m convinced we get more bang for our buck when two or more people contribute to the whole.
